Below is what happened in 2019:

JETTY ART SPACE 

EXHIBIT YOUR WORK, EVERYONE CAN ENTER
There are 2 x Community Choice Prizes of $3000 each donated by Nightcliff Community Bank

Nightcliff Community Bank is a proud Supporting Partner of the Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival Jetty Art Space.

 

ALL ENTRIES are eligible for either Community Choice Individual Artist Prize of $3000, OR Community Choice Group Prize of $3000 sponsored by Nightcliff Community Bank!  All entries can also be entered in another category so you have two chances to win!  There are loads of fabulous prizes donated by loads of generous local business's and individuals.

You can drop your work into the Nightcliff Community Bank in Pavonia Place, Nightcliff during business hours.

Winners of all categories will be announced and prizes awarded at the Nightcliff Community Bank Branch, 10.00am Saturday 18th May.

Remember only registered entries are eligible for prize money.

There are 2 x Fun Competitions with great prizes on Saturday 11 May - #GetInvolved

SAND SCULPTURE COMPETITION

1pm onwards

Judging with Natasha Fyles & Bridget Riggs starts at 4.30pm

Bliss out barefoot on the beach creating your creations at Nightcliff main beach, with ramp access, opposite Walker St, Nightcliff.

 

Head down from 1pm with shovels & buckets and whatever else you feel will support the sculpting process. Take the family or a dedicated team with you and crank out your creative awesomeness!

Keep your eyes sharply peeled for Threading the Foreshore visual arts installations along the way! #ThreadingTheForeshore

 

Judging starts at 4.30pm. Winners announced on the Dance Stage in Sunset Park at 6pm.

SEABREEZE TREES

As you wander the foreshore pathways and explore the stages and spaces showcasing local talent look out for and keep a count of Anokai's lovingly made 'Seabreeze Trees' signage... KEEP A COUNT and let us know how many you find.

Anokai is pictured with the type of signs you are looking out for!

We know how many she has placed throughout the festival site.

Whoever counts the correct or closest to the correct about of signs wins a 'Seabreeze Pack' which consists of:

  • 2 x Cool Seabreeze T-Shirts - one for you and one for a friend

  • 1 x Awesome reusable Seabreeze Stainless Steel Water Bottle

  • 1 x $80 Dinner Voucher to Yogi's Way restaurant in Stuart Park

The Ripple Effect program is bringing you practical DIY Workshops - workshop materials are provided - you do need to register so our workshop leaders can cater for all participants.

DIY COFFEE SCRUB

FREE - 45 min Workshops

The COOLmob DIY Coffee Scrub Workshop will show you how to reuse coffee grounds and household staples to whip up your own delicious body scrub!

Learning to make and create your own beauty products is a fabulous way to decrease the amount you're buying and can be as easy as using regular household pantry staples!

 

Most beauty products come in plastic bottles or packaging, and contain chemicals which aren't so great for the environment. Learning to make you own is a fun and cheap skill to learn! Plus, your own beauty products make great DIY gifts for loved ones!

DIY Beeswax Wraps Workshops will show you how to make your very own reusable beeswax wraps.  They are an alternative to single use plastic cling wrap/bags, are non-toxic, washable and a great step towards reducing your waste.

At the end of the class you will walk away with 2 of your very own handmade beeswax wraps and an information booklet written by Cassidy from 'None of Your Beeswax' specifying exactly how to make them in your own home + what was taught in the class itself.

'None of Your Beeswax' is a gorgeous, small and thoughtfully presented local business run by Cassidy Dixon.

DIY Reusable Boomerang Bags Workshops

Join Boomerang Bags Parap for a practical, hands-on workshop to learn how to cut and prepare a reusable produce bag before sewing it together.

A fantastic opportunity to reduce your plastic usage, take home a handmade bag to get you started plus the know-how to sew a bunch more for yourself or as a sustainable gift option!

 

We'll supply sewing machines and materials for you to make own reusable bags.

DIY CLEANING PRODUCTS & ZERO WASTE EQUIPMENT DEMO - Take home a sample

A DIY Waste Free NT Workshop that shows you how to use low waste cleaning tools and DIY cleaners.

 

This workshop will introduce you to simple and yet effective plastic free cleaning tools.

 

You’ll learn how to make all purpose cleaners from pantry items and be able to take a sample of a DIY cleaner home.

WHAT TO BRING: 
- pen and paper (or electronic device)
- one clean 500ml container to take a sample home - you can just reuse a glass jar you probably already have at home.
